Moving Me
Personal transport will be a part of the human landscape for many years to come.
Today's average car contains over 20kg of copper - from motors and wiring to the connectors for systems that control brakes, air-bags, and all the vehicle systems.
The energy and communications systems depend on a complex harness linking up hundreds of individual connectors. This copper conductor and the copper alloy connectors are manufactured in their millions and must be fault-free and completely reliable. In the worst temperatures and road conditions, copper keeps on performing in the heart of the vehicle.
Tomorrow's cars may be electrical, hydrogen-powered or something else but they will always require copper.
